Octav Tutuianu struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Dragoş Panduru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laz FC. 8 minutes into the game, Vintilă Bobe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laz FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gugesti CF the free kick. A collision led to Laz FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Vintilă Bobe hit a great ball. Basarab Cînu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the game, Laz FC's Octav Tutuianu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dragoş Panduru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Laz FC's Vintilă Bobe got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 26 minutes, Paul Povară mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gugesti CF and the Laz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Gugesti CF getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Paul Povară hit a great ball. Gigel Horhoianu was a little too slow when Panait Iorgu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-1. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Panait Iorgu sped through Laz FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gigel Horhoianu. Gigel Horhoianu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Paul Povară. After 38 played minutes Gugesti CF got a freekick which was hit by Paul Povară. Octav Tutuianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragoş Panduru having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Panait Iorgu took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Gigel Horhoianu to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Octav Tutuianu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Octav Tutuianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dragoş Panduru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusebiu Bognar hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After 56 played minutes Laz FC got a freekick which was hit by Eusebiu Bognar. In the 57th minute Basarab Cînu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Horhoianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dragoş Panduru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octav Tutuianu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Octav Tutuianu scored 3-3 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dragoş Panduru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 67 played minutes Gugesti CF got a freekick which was hit by Aron Baldovin. In the 74th minute, Laz FC's Octav Tutuianu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Octav Tutuianu in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dragoş Panduru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Laz FC booed when Gugesti CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narcis Muscaș didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd match minute, Gugesti CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Baldovin to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute Basarab Cînu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Horhoianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Panait Iorgu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
