In the 26th minute, one of FC.DUNAREA GALATI:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC.DUNAREA GALATI. Ermanno Malvezzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigel Mihoc in the 38th minute of play. Ermanno Malvezzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Mihoc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wawrzyniec Kochanowicz in the 44th minute of play forced Steaua Bucuresti's goalkeeper Nichifor Ciocâltea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wawrzyniec Kochanowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nichifor Ciocâltea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wawrzyniec Kochanowicz was the one to do the kick off.
