Petruț Ghiciușca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dorin Chițac read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Vasile Croitoru hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Haraly's Dorin Chițac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Diculescu in the 11th minute of play. Octavian Gheorghiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Petruț Ghiciușca made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Haraly's Basarab Moți broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 55th minute, Aurelian Costescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurelian Costescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Grigore Torouţ having to make a save. Grigore Torouţ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelian Costescu in the 64th minute of the match. Aurelian Costescu struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Grigore Torouţ didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haraly. After some careless play in the Racatau AC defense, Aurelian Costescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grigore Torouţ. The Racatau AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grigore Torouţ should have stopped the shot. 77 minutes into the game, Silviu Abraham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haraly's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racatau AC the free kick. Racatau AC's Grigore Torouţ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelian Costescu in the 81st minute of play. If Aurelian Costescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Haraly fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Haraly's Octavian Gheorghiu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 86 minutes into the match, Racatau AC's Călin Diculescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dorin Chițac narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelian Costescu in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Grigore Torouţ saved Racatau AC from getting behind. Vasile Croitoru kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Haraly walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
