Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Isac Strugure got the match started through his kick off. Cosmin Ene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Axel Bosshard made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Nicodim Abrudan sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Cocosul's Ion Liviu got a free kick in the 20th minute. Axel Bosshard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Beșleaga in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horia Plopeanu got free with Axel Bosshard in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute of the match Cocosul got a corner. Braznic's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manole Marghescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cocosul's Manole Marghescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Axel Bosshard in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cocosul's Isac Strugure got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Nicodim Abrudan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Braznic's zone, Isac Strugure stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Axel Bosshard came out of the goal and Isac Strugure tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Edgar Beșleaga fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cocosul's protests and gave Edgar Beșleaga a yellow card for diving instead. Edgar Beșleaga kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cosmin Ene to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cocosul's Edgar Beșleaga got a free kick in the 53rd minute.
