Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Mamecha's Horia Bunescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horia Bunescu in the 5th minute of play forced Derby Brasov's goalkeeper Mihnea Panaitoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horia Bunescu in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihnea Panaitoiu saved Derby Brasov from getting behind. In the 12th minute, Horia Bunescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihnea Panaitoiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dumitru Oprișor succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. With a little luck, Mamecha's Eugen Voinescu got control of the ball when Dumitru Oprișor tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute Horia Bunescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Panaitoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mamecha's Aron Muraru got a free kick in the 36th minute. The corner ended in Eric Arapașu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mamecha's Eugen Voinescu did a great save. When Martin Aelenei came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Mamecha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Aelenei couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Dumitru Oprișor made the kick off in the second half. If Dumitru Oprișor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Dumitru Oprișor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Voinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugen Voinescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dumitru Oprișor in the 55th minute of the match. Mihnea Panaitoiu was a little too slow when Martin Aelenei got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 1-2. After 66 minutes of play, Derby Brasov's Dumitru Oprișor made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugen Voinescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th match minute, Derby Brasov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Pelin to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Horia Bunescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihnea Panaitoiu was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Horia Bunescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristinel Sterescu in the 74th minute of play forced Mamecha's goalkeeper Eugen Voinescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Martin Aelenei could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Mihnea Panaitoiu however easily saved by the left post. Derby Brasov's Dumitru Oprișor got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 80 minutes, Martin Aelenei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mamecha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Aelenei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horia Bunescu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 82nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mihnea Panaitoiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Aelenei in the 84th minute. Martin Aelenei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Mihnea Panaitoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mamecha's Horia Bunescu in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Derby Brasov's goalie prevented a goal. Mihnea Panaitoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horia Bunescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. If Horia Bunescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
