Ilie Lamru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Tache in the 7th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Pavel Tache recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ilie Lamru. Pavel Tache showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Vintila Teodorescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Bogdan, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute, Dorin Caba fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The FC.Barcelona fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when FC.Barcelona's Pavel Tache looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Grosswardein's Mihai Drăgănoiu got a free kick in the 26th minute. Dorin Caba struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Ilie Lamru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC.Barcelona. Grosswardein's Ilie Lamru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Grosswardein from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Grosswardein getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Romeo Novăceanu hit a great ball. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grosswardein's goalkeeper Ilie Lamru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pavel Tache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute Marcel Chesaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vintila Teodorescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudiu Bogdan made a kick off. Vintila Teodorescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Bogdan in the 52nd minute of play. Ilie Lamru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catalin Sabau, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Catalin Sabau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Dorin Caba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilie Lamru was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Denis Râznicu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Pavel Tache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ilie Lamru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Grosswardein's Romeo Novăceanu got a free kick in the 70th minute. A collision led to Grosswardein getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Romeo Novăceanu hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the game, one of FC.Barcelona:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Robert Vârșan placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Vintila Teodorescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Bogdan in the 78th minute of play. Vintila Teodorescu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 80th minute, which inside left pole to 4-2. Vintila Teodorescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcel Chesaru went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. Dorin Caba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
