The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Cirlanesti AS booed when Geaca AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Hârțan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petruț Panaitescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Florin Calota. Cirlanesti AS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicodim Buciuman in the 9th minute of play forced Geaca AC's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Neagoe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 minutes of play, Cirlanesti AS's Lucjan Bielejewski made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihăiţă Neagoe was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucjan Bielejewski in the 30th minute of play forced Geaca AC's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Neagoe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marius Constantinescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Florin Calota made a huge save. Cirlanesti AS's Florin Calota proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Cirlanesti AS from getting a goal against them. After 40 minutes Cirlanesti AS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anton Hârțan who took care of the corner kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Lucjan Bielejewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cirlanesti AS's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucjan Bielejewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihăiţă Neagoe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 47 minutes into the game, Cirlanesti AS's Lucjan Bielejewski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mihăiţă Neagoe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anton Hârțan to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Nicodim Buciuman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mihăiţă Neagoe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lucjan Bielejewski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 58 minute of play. In the 65th minute, Mădălin Scaeru made a precise shot to the right of Mihăiţă Neagoe. Geaca AC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. When Nicodim Buciuman came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Cirlanesti AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicodim Buciuman couldn't finish the play. If Nicodim Buciuman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Cirlanesti AS's Nicu Zorlescu got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 78th minute, Anton Hârțan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florin Calota was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Ionel Ciolpan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Florin Calota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Marius Constantinescu notched a goal, 3-6, to the right of Cirlanesti AS's Florin Calota. Florin Calota was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd minute, Tudor Nedelea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florin Calota was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-6. The Geaca AC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cirlanesti AS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
