If Remus Fința had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lion Messi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ionică Cupșa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sorin Focșa might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ionică Cupșa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sorin Focșa ran back to his position shaking his head. Alessandro Addari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionică Cupșa having to interfere. Flavius Frențiu hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fc Catanga's goalkeeper Ionică Cupșa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ionică Cupșa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alessandro Addari in the 35th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Precopoia's Alessandro Addari slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ionică Cupșa. That made the score 1-0 after 35 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Lion Messi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Precopoia's supporters rose to their feet, but Lion Messi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionică Cupșa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Precopoia booed when Fc Catanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliodor Tănăsie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Alessandro Addari could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Ionică Cupșa however easily saved by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lion Messi made a kick off. Ionică Cupșa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Addari in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute Valer Măguran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Cupșa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionică Cupșa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sorin Focșa, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 79thth minute of the game Lion Messi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Catanga's Ionică Cupșa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alex Zăvoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Zăvoiu in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lion Messi in the 82nd minute of play forced Fc Catanga's goalkeeper Ionică Cupșa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee gave Precopoia a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lion Messi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fc Catanga's Ionică Cupșa. 4-0. If Alessandro Addari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Precopoia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
