Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tudor Stamate got the match started through his kick off. Fc Catanga's Ionică Cupșa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Ecobescu in the 6th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tudor Stamate in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionică Cupșa saved Fc Catanga from getting behind. Ionică Cupșa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Ecobescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The audience was convinced that Tudor Stamate's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ionică Cupșa was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Fc Catanga defense, Tudor Stamate kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ionică Cupșa. The Fc Catanga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ionică Cupșa should have stopped the shot. Tiberiu Neicu might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ionică Cupșa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiberiu Neicu ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Tudor Stamate put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ionică Cupșa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Stamate in the 27th minute of play forced Fc Catanga's goalkeeper Ionică Cupșa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiberiu Neicu scored 0-4 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ionică Cupșa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tudor Stamate in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionică Cupșa saved Fc Catanga from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Fc Catanga's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Neicu came free, but Ionică Cupșa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ionică Cupșa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Neicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fc Catanga's Ionică Cupșa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Stamate in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Remus Fința got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After the first half FC BTK were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horaţiu Zăvoiu to make the kick off. If Tudor Stamate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ion Oprița received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ionică Cupșa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Tudor Stamate rounded Fc Catanga's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tudor Stamate in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionică Cupșa saved Fc Catanga from getting behind. In the 84th minute, Tudor Stamate got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute, Fc Catanga's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tudor Stamate fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Remus Fința received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Nicodim Pencu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horaţiu Zăvoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilian Iovan charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilian Iovan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fc Catanga booed when FC BTK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilian Iovan didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC BTK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
