Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Negoesti AFC's Luca Zbârnea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the game, Grigore Pavalescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Negoesti AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Holobani AS the free kick. Grigore Pavalescu hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Robert Opaina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Holobani AS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Holobani AS's Gabriel Frumușanu got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 15 played minutes, Negoesti AFC's Basarab Ciucă shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Florin Bociort came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Negoesti AFC reached it. In the 18th minute, Petre Tilea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute of the match Sever Bănățeanu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ştefan Hojbota showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Șerban Ilarie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Șerban Ilarie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Negoesti AFC's Octav Niculescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florin Bociort narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Negoesti AFC's Luca Zbârnea in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Holobani AS's goalie prevented a goal. In the 34th match minute, Holobani AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Frumușanu to maneuver through the defense. Robert Opaina might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ştefan Hojbota. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robert Opaina ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Șerban Ilarie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ştefan Hojbota was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The Negoesti AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Holobani AS were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Șerban Ilarie to make the kick off. Florin Bociort made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelu Pânzaru in the 52nd minute of play. Robert Opaina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ştefan Hojbota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Șerban Ilarie in the 56th minute of the match. Luca Zbârnea struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Florin Bociort didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Negoesti AFC. Robert Opaina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ştefan Hojbota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Octav Niculescu came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Negoesti AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octav Niculescu couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Holobani AS's Șerban Ilarie slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ştefan Hojbota. That made the score 1-2 after 69 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Octav Niculescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Florin Bociort was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Robert Opaina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ştefan Hojbota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octav Niculescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luca Zbârnea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florin Bociort having to make a save. Ştefan Hojbota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Șerban Ilarie in the 88th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Opaina got free with Ştefan Hojbota in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robert Opaina took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ştefan Hojbota. Ştefan Hojbota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Holobani AS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Holobani AS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
