An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionică Vasilescu in the 15th minute of play forced ARADI VASAS FC's goalkeeper Eliodor Ghionescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliodor Ghionescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doru Zgîrţa went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 22 played minutes Edgar Dănciulescu rounded ARADI VASAS FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. After 28 minutes of play, FC Severin's Sebastian Bâru made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliodor Ghionescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as FC Severin's Doru Zgîrţa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eliodor Ghionescu. That made the score 4-0 after 36 minutes of play. Gelu Chivulescu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, one of ARADI VASAS FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ARADI VASAS FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Doru Zgîrţa was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Doru Zgîrţa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eliodor Ghionescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irinel Chifan in the 58th minute of play forced ARADI VASAS FC's goalkeeper Eliodor Ghionescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doru Zgîrţa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliodor Ghionescu having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Irinel Chifan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Eliodor Ghionescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, ARADI VASAS FC's Costică Bocu got a free kick in the 67th minute. Doru Zgîrţa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Eusebiu Lăcătuș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76thth minute of the game Doru Zgîrţa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ARADI VASAS FC's Eliodor Ghionescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 77th minute Irinel Chifan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliodor Ghionescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, ARADI VASAS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Cazan came free, but Eliodor Ghionescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doru Zgîrţa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the game, Irinel Chifan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Eliodor Ghionescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Severin's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
