Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Ciprian Pitiș successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of FC Severin booed when FCP Ploiesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octav Frățilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, FCP Ploiesti's goalkeeper Ciprian Pitiș had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Irinel Chifan. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusebiu Lăcătuș got free with Ciprian Pitiș in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastian Bâru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th match minute, FCP Ploiesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Drăgoi to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, FCP Ploiesti's Ciprian Pitiș got control of the ball when Sebastian Bâru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matei Muraru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teddy Wejlebjerg in the 93rd minute of play. FCP Ploiesti's Ciprian Pitiș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irinel Chifan in the 96th minute of play. FC Severin's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
