Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Darjiul's Mugurel Dominte started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Darjiul's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Andronache came free, but Marius Negoescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th match minute, FC Policub Ghiroda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horea Şuteu to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Policub Ghiroda's goalkeeper Emil Ipate, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Darjiul's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Andronache came free, but Marius Negoescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darjiul's Traian Rioşanu got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the game, Doru Merișor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Policub Ghiroda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Darjiul the free kick. In the 15th match minute, FC Policub Ghiroda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Merișor to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, FC Policub Ghiroda's goal looked a bit too open when Mugurel Dominte came free, but Emil Ipate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Basarab Iorga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Policub Ghiroda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basarab Iorga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Mugurel Dominte put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Emil Ipate. Emil Ipate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Rioşanu in the 35th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Mugurel Dominte sped through FC Policub Ghiroda's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emil Ipate. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basarab Iorga got free with Marius Negoescu in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 44 minutes into the match, Darjiul's Traian Rioşanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emil Ipate narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Radu Andronache to strike the kick off in the second half. Mugurel Dominte received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emil Ipate came out and tried to block the shot, but Mugurel Dominte slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 54th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Mugurel Dominte recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emil Ipate. Mugurel Dominte showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Marius Negoescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Iorga, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Mugurel Dominte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Mugurel Dominte notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of FC Policub Ghiroda's Emil Ipate. Emil Ipate was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 79 minutes into the match, FC Policub Ghiroda's goalkeeper Emil Ipate had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Traian Rioşanu. A collision led to Darjiul getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Panait Tâbârnă hit a great ball. Radu Andronache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Basarab Iorga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marius Negoescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. FC Policub Ghiroda's Emil Ipate proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save FC Policub Ghiroda from getting a goal against them.
