Eusebiu Buligan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Nedelcu's Eusebiu Buligan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolae Răduțu in the 12th minute of play. Dorel Iordănescu in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eusebiu Buligan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Dorel Iordănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregers Vindesbøl in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eusebiu Buligan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moise Galiceanu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86th match minute, Nedelcu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustin Dudău to maneuver through the defense. If Dorel Iordănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute Nicolae Răduțu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebiu Buligan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes into the game, FAX's Gregers Vindesbøl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eusebiu Buligan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. FAX walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
