Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Laurențiu Lovin took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gregers Vindesbøl's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Marcel Avădanei skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 13th minute Nicolae Răduțu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Avădanei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th match minute, FC BOTOSANI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Lovin to maneuver through the defense. Nicolae Răduțu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. FAX's Tom Sluis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurențiu Lovin in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, FAX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Jienescu to maneuver through the defense. Marcel Avădanei came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by FAX's Gregers Vindesbøl. But to his dismay, Gregers Vindesbøl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Valeriu Gabrea's late challenge caught a FAX's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valeriu Gabrea helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FAX booed when FC BOTOSANI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriu Gabrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th match minute, FC BOTOSANI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeriu Gabrea to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Emanuel Barna took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Marcel Avădanei to make any attempt to save it. Dorel Iordănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Gregers Vindesbøl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the game, FAX's Gregers Vindesbøl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcel Avădanei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Marcel Avădanei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorel Iordănescu went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gregers Vindesbøl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Gregers Vindesbøl made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC BOTOSANI's Marcel Avădanei tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Gregers Vindesbøl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcel Avădanei was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. During the 55th minute of the match Valeriu Gabrea completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Valeriu Gabrea a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 55 played minutes FC BOTOSANI got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Gabrea. The supporters of FAX booed when FC BOTOSANI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Pintilescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Sântimbrean didn't quite understand what happened when in the 58 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 70 minutes into the match, FAX's Gregers Vindesbøl sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcel Avădanei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC BOTOSANI were furious when Mugur Grigoroiu was red carded, 71 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC BOTOSANI fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! After 73 played minutes FC BOTOSANI got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Lovin. Emanuel Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Avădanei having to interfere. Marcel Avădanei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregers Vindesbøl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FAX getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Gică Moldoveanu hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Gregers Vindesbøl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcel Avădanei was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gregers Vindesbøl in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcel Avădanei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gică Moldoveanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Avădanei having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Daniel Gâfu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcel Avădanei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregers Vindesbøl's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Gregers Vindesbøl struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Marcel Avădanei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FAX. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FAX fully deserved thier win.
