Albert Cezar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Sântimbrean having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emil Coraș in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dobromir Grocholski saved Lenis UFC from getting behind. Ciprian Ilieș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Coraș in the 14th minute of play forced Lenis UFC's goalkeeper Dobromir Grocholski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciprian Ilieș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Ciprian Ilieș made a precise shot to the right of Dobromir Grocholski. Lenis UFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Călin Cumpanașu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mihnea Sântimbrean came out and tried to block the shot, but Călin Cumpanașu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 33rd minute. After 36 minutes of play, Urluesti's Ciprian Ilieș made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dobromir Grocholski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dobromir Grocholski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihnea Ciulei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Albert Cezar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lenis UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Cezar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihnea Sântimbrean breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Albert Cezar made the kick off in the second half. Silviu Irimia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silviu Irimia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Mihnea Sântimbrean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aron Dancu during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lenis UFC booed when Urluesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Dancu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Ciprian Ilieș reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dobromir Grocholski. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 68th minute, Emil Coraș made a precise shot to the right of Dobromir Grocholski. Lenis UFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. 71 minutes into the match, Emil Coraș dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dobromir Grocholski, 1-5. In the 76th minute, Albert Cezar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihnea Sântimbrean was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Emil Coraș could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Dobromir Grocholski made a huge save. Stelian Achim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dobromir Grocholski came out and tried to block the shot, but Stelian Achim slotted it home off the left post making it 2-6 in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute, Emil Coraș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute of the match, Stelian Achim got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dobromir Grocholski was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Urluesti supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Urluesti would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
