Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marcu Văcărescu kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lazurile's zone, Panait Drăgoescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iordache Cazacu came out of the goal and Panait Drăgoescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 8 played minutes Lazurile got a freekick which was hit by Gică Macaneață. Marcu Văcărescu struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Iordache Cazacu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Sustiu. Marcu Văcărescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iordache Cazacu having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Marcu Văcărescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iordache Cazacu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Marcu Văcărescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iordache Cazacu was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 17thth minute of the game Marcu Văcărescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lazurile's Iordache Cazacu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute, Lazurile's Sandu Marincean dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Șerban Vâlcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Iordache Cazacu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcu Văcărescu in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iordache Cazacu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Lazurile getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Cristinel Manciulescu hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcu Văcărescu in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iordache Cazacu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Albert Bulzan managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Sustiu's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Bulzan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iordache Cazacu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Sustiu's Marcu Văcărescu got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 36 minutes of play, Lazurile's Gică Macaneață made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pavel Ruşdea was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the game, Cristinel Manciulescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lazurile's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Sustiu the free kick. Cristinel Manciulescu hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petre Teodoreanu to make the kick off. Șerban Vâlcu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iordache Cazacu having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Marcu Văcărescu took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Iordache Cazacu to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Lazurile's Sandu Marincean got a free kick in the 56th minute. Laurențiu Oros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavel Ruşdea having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, FC Sustiu's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Teodoreanu came free, but Pavel Ruşdea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Marcu Văcărescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Sustiu's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcu Văcărescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A very good chance. A sloppy throw-in by Teodor Iovan in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Sustiu's Panait Drăgoescu. FC Sustiu's Pavel Ruşdea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurențiu Oros in the 78th minute of play. Marcu Văcărescus short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Iordache Cazacu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
