Bogdan Mirea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iurie Aldulescu in the 7th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ionel Dăscălescu during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes Bucium got a freekick which was hit by Ionel Dăscălescu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iurie Aldulescu in the 9th minute of play forced Bucium's goalkeeper Bogdan Mirea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bogdan Mirea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irinel Lucian in the 10th minute of play. Bogdan Mirea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iurie Aldulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mihai Cubleșan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Trică having to interfere. Doru Popa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Irinel Lucian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marin Trică showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihai Cubleșan in the 30th minute of the match. Mihai Cubleșan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Marin Trică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ionel Dăscălescu came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Bucium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionel Dăscălescu couldn't finish the play. Mihai Cubleșan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Trică having to interfere. Iurie Aldulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mihai Cubleșan made a kick off. A collision led to Bucium getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Nechifor Racoviță hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Iurie Aldulescu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bogdan Mirea, passed just outside the right post. Bogdan Mirea made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Iurie Aldulescu sent off a good shot on target. Independenta CSS's Iurie Aldulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iurie Aldulescu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 66th playminute. Bogdan Mirea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristide Avramescu in the 72nd minute of play. Iurie Aldulescu hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doru Popa in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marin Trică prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Iurie Aldulescu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 80 minutes in the game, Iurie Aldulescu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bogdan Mirea having to interfere. Mihai Cubleșan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Marin Trică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ionel Dăscălescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Mihai Cubleșan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bucium's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihai Cubleșan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marin Trică breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Bucium's Doru Popa in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Independenta CSS's goalie prevented a goal. Marin Trică showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihai Cubleșan, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of Independenta CSS were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Bucium side.
