Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ioan Lăceanu took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dorin Itoafă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niculae Săndulescu having to make a save. 8 minutes into the match, Draculesti's goal looked a bit too open when Dorin Itoafă came free, but Niculae Săndulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute of the match Jupani got a corner. Draculesti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Costică Hizo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Niculae Săndulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ioan Lăceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Emil Trandafir stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viorel Raţiu's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Dumitru Zubaşcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Viorel Raţiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Niculae Săndulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorin Itoafă in the 37th minute of the match. If Leonard Armeanca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With his leg Niculae Săndulescu managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Jupani's Dorin Itoafă fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ioan Lăceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dorin Itoafă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 minutes, Dumitru Zubaşcu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Draculesti and the Jupani players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 67 played minutes Draculesti got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Zubaşcu. After having played for 68 minutes, Ioan Lăceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jupani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ioan Lăceanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viorel Raţiu in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emil Trandafir saved Jupani from getting behind. Leonard Armeanca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Niculae Săndulescu made a huge save. The supporters of Jupani booed when Draculesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucrețiu Lesnea didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Jupani's Niculae Săndulescu threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ioan Lăceanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 84th minute, Dinu Spoială hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ioan Lăceanu hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Draculesti's Dumitru Zubaşcu got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91stth minute of the game Viorel Raţiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jupani's Emil Trandafir was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dorin Itoafă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Niculae Săndulescu made a huge save.
