Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ioan Lăceanu took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jupani's Ioan Lăceanu got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Dorin Itoafă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jupani's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorin Itoafă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihnea Codru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Academy Football Club's Luca Onete got a free kick in the 15th minute. Mihnea Codru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Lăceanu in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Jupani getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Mircea Pipirig hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Armeanca during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Academy Football Club booed when Jupani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Armeanca didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ilie Voiculescu came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Academy Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilie Voiculescu couldn't finish the play. Ioan Lăceanu scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mihnea Codru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mihnea Codru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorin Itoafă, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ioan Lăceanu in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihnea Codru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Jupani's zone, Iulian Ciuvică stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emil Trandafir came out of the goal and Iulian Ciuvică tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mihnea Codru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augustin Plăcintă went, in the 49th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iulian Ciuvică was the one to do the kick off. Mihnea Codru made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Dorin Itoafă sent off a good shot on target. Academy Football Club's Mihnea Codru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Armeanca in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ioan Lăceanu in the 67th minute of play forced Academy Football Club's goalkeeper Mihnea Codru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ioan Lăceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jupani's supporters rose to their feet, but Ioan Lăceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 90 played minutes Jupani got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Plăcintă. Academy Football Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Ioan Lăceanu scored to the left of an out of position Mihnea Codru, making the score, 0-3. Jupani's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
