The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horia Codru was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Horia Codru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionel Jivulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, one of CS Targoviste:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CS Targoviste. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horia Codru in the 65th minute of play forced Sinmarghita's goalkeeper Ionel Jivulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionel Jivulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horia Codru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind CS Targoviste's goalkeeper Doru Sărăroiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 83 minutes, Paul Vasilică managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sinmarghita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Vasilică was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doru Sărăroiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Ghercioiu in the 90th minute of play. Horia Codru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute.
