An unexpectedly hard shot by Nechifor Țepeluș in the 8th minute of play forced UFC Sanovita's goalkeeper Valer Popoacă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Nechifor Țepeluș left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fc Zalău fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. UFC Sanovita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Cocea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 20th minute, Manuel Cocea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octavian Gaiță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29thth minute of the game Nechifor Țepeluș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UFC Sanovita's Valer Popoacă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the match, UFC Sanovita's goal looked a bit too open when Nechifor Țepeluș came free, but Valer Popoacă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Manuel Cocea put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Valer Popoacă. Manuel Cocea struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Valer Popoacă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Zalău. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Cocea to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Fc Zalău's Cosmin Moga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Valer Popoacă. Valer Popoacă yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Fc Zalău's Matei Barbonța got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Moise Pantiș kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Valer Popoacă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matei Barbonța went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Cocea in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valer Popoacă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manuel Cocea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Valer Popoacă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavian Gaiță took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gelu Robu. Gelu Robu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. With a little luck, UFC Sanovita's Valer Popoacă got control of the ball when Matei Barbonța tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute Manuel Cocea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Popoacă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fc Zalău's Manuel Cocea got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Cocea did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-6 to the left of a surprised Valer Popoacă 79 minutes into the match. Manuel Cocea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Valer Popoacă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nechifor Țepeluș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Matei Barbonța cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-7. Valer Popoacă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
