In the 6th match minute, Viitorul Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manole Uncu to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Irinel Goga in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcel Dorineanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcel Dorineanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Irinel Goga's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Viitorul Bucuresti! A collision led to Killerz getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Vasile Voicescu hit a great ball. Marcel Dorineanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Şerb in the 23rd minute of play. Irinel Goga struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Marcel Dorineanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Killerz. When Killerz's Irinel Goga in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Viitorul Bucuresti's goalie prevented a goal. Ergincan Onuk's late challenge caught a Killerz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ergincan Onuk helped the player get up and apologised. Ergincan Onuk kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Irinel Goga in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Dorineanu saved Viitorul Bucuresti from getting behind. 35 minutes into the game, Viitorul Bucuresti's Mugurel Cicortaș nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciprian Guguianu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Irinel Goga scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Dorineanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Viitorul Bucuresti's Manole Uncu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ciprian Guguianu. That made the score 2-2 after 48 minutes of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

60 minutes into the match, Killerz's goal looked a bit too open when Manole Uncu came free, but Ciprian Guguianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Mihai Negrițoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Killerz's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihai Negrițoiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel Dorineanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Viitorul Bucuresti's zone, Irinel Goga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Dorineanu came out of the goal and Irinel Goga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Irinel Goga made a precise shot to the right of Marcel Dorineanu. Viitorul Bucuresti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Cezar Cordescu hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Vasile Voicescu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Viitorul Bucuresti's Marcel Dorineanu didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Viitorul Bucuresti's zone, Cristi Bordeianu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Dorineanu came out of the goal and Cristi Bordeianu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcel Dorineanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Irinel Goga in the 96th minute.
