An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Bodnar in the 9th minute of play forced Somcutza UFC's goalkeeper Doru Popoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Pompiliu Bodnar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doru Popoiu. Somcutza UFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pompiliu Bodnar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Doru Popoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgil Cristescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgil Cristescu took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Doru Popoiu. Doru Popoiu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Sebastian Amitroaiei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matei Cămărășescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute of the match, Emanuel Topală tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matei Cămărășescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Doru Popoiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgil Cristescu's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Ion Mercea kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Virgil Cristescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doru Popoiu having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pompiliu Bodnar to strike the kick off in the second half. Pompiliu Bodnar struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Doru Popoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iablanita AFC. 58 minutes into the match, Somcutza UFC's goalkeeper Doru Popoiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pompiliu Bodnar. Matei Cămărășescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Amitroaiei, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Iablanita AFC's Matei Cămărășescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ioan Orescu in the 61st minute of play. Virgil Cristescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Doru Popoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgil Cristescu got free with Doru Popoiu in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Virgil Cristescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doru Popoiu made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Pompiliu Bodnar sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Pompiliu Bodnar sped through Somcutza UFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Doru Popoiu. Iablanita AFC's Matei Cămărășescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Topală in the 94th minute of play. Pompiliu Bodnar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Doru Popoiu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Iablanita AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
