Filip Arnăuțoius short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Valentin Romeo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 19 minutes into the match, Tantarul's goalkeeper Valentin Romeo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filip Arnăuțoiu. Eliodor Chioreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Varmezo CSM's Horea Ruşdea got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horea Ruşdea in the 25th minute of play forced Tantarul's goalkeeper Valentin Romeo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Varmezo CSM booed when Tantarul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinu Tufescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Filip Arnăuțoiu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Valentin Romeo to make any attempt to save it. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Varmezo CSM's goalkeeper Florin Visarion, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Horaţiu Enătescu's late challenge caught a Tantarul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horaţiu Enătescu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Varmezo CSM's Horaţiu Enătescu got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 72 minutes, Filip Arnăuțoiu made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Tantarul's Valentin Romeo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tantarul's Eliodor Chioreanu got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horea Ruşdea in the 83rd minute of play forced Tantarul's goalkeeper Valentin Romeo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliodor Chioreanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florin Visarion. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliodor Chioreanu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute, Horea Ruşdea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tantarul's Valentin Romeo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horea Ruşdea in the 96th minute of play. Varmezo CSM's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
