Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Alex Coroian started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Sandu Marchiș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Bogdan Mangra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Voiculescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 played minutes Babadagh got a freekick which was hit by Emil Deșliu. Luca Popeneciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viorel Hăulică, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Babadagh's Luca Popeneciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Coroian in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA booed when Babadagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Calomfir didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandu Marchiș in the 38th minute of play forced CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's goalkeeper Bogdan Mangra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute of the match, Cristian Voiculescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bogdan Mangra saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cristian Voiculescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Bogdan Mangra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandu Marchiș got free with Bogdan Mangra in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Alex Coroian came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Coroian couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Voiculescu came free, but Bogdan Mangra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristian Voiculescu was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Calomfir in the 52nd minute of play forced CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's goalkeeper Bogdan Mangra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Viorel Hăulică notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Babadagh's Luca Popeneciu. Luca Popeneciu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bogdan Mangra came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Babadagh's Sandu Marchiș. But to his dismay, Sandu Marchiș quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Alex Coroian took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luca Popeneciu. Luca Popeneciu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 75 minutes into the match, CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Marchiș came free, but Bogdan Mangra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Babadagh's goalkeeper Luca Popeneciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viorel Hăulică. 76 minutes into the match, Viorel Hăulică dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luca Popeneciu, 1-3. Cristian Voiculescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sandu Marchiș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Babadagh's Cristian Voiculescu in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's goalie prevented a goal. Alex Coroian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Viorel Hăulică came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viorel Hăulică couldn't finish the play. A nice corner shot did that Panait Cârjă got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bogdan Mangra quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Babadagh's much stronger midfield.
