Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alin Ţintă in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anton Roșeanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Ialovita CS booed when Mada CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Tănăsocă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucian Orghidan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Anton Roșeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alin Ţintă came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Ialovita CS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alin Ţintă couldn't finish the play. In the 37thth minute of the game Lucian Orghidan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mada CSM's Anton Roșeanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Ialovita CS booed when Mada CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iulian Goga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucian Orghidan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Anton Roșeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narcis Miniș got free with Bogdan Hârtopanu in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Grigore Hâldan to make the kick off. Ialovita CS's Bogdan Hârtopanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigore Hâldan in the 52nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Narcis Miniș's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bogdan Hârtopanu was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game.
