Edgar Vătavu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ferdinand Axinia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Ungheanu in the 9th minute of play forced FC Rockstadt's goalkeeper Edgar Vătavu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Cudalb struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Edgar Vătavu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS SPERANTA TRIAJ. After a rather tough play, AS SPERANTA TRIAJ's Gabriel Cudalb got a free kick in the 15th minute. Dinu Vorniceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 25 minutes into the game, when Gabriel Cudalb put in a rough tackle. 25 minutes into the game, one of AS SPERANTA TRIAJ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Edgar Vătavu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 32nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ferdinand Axinia. Nicolae Ungheanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Edgar Vătavu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, AS SPERANTA TRIAJ's goal looked a bit too open when Dinu Vorniceanu came free, but Costică Stoican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nicolae Ungheanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nicolae Ungheanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Octavian Șeicaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute Dinu Vorniceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costică Stoican saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicolae Ungheanu made a kick off. Iosif Gârleanu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. AS SPERANTA TRIAJ's Nicolae Ungheanu got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 66 minutes, Dinu Vorniceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Rockstadt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinu Vorniceanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, AS SPERANTA TRIAJ's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Șeicaru came free, but Costică Stoican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iosif Gârleanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavian Șeicaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costică Stoican having to interfere. In the 92ndth minute of the game Nicolae Ungheanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Rockstadt's Edgar Vătavu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gheorghe Oroveanu hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Costică Stoican showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavian Șeicaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
