The audience was convinced that Eric Cosor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doru Cârjă was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Eric Cosor put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Doru Cârjă. If Iordache Porumboiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doru Cârjă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezar Goicea in the 13th minute of the match. When Octavian Joanță fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UFC Vulpeni's protests and gave Octavian Joanță a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, UFC Vulpeni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavian Joanță to maneuver through the defense. Sandu Burca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristi Guriță read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Cristi Guriță was a little too slow when Iordache Porumboiu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-1. Iordache Porumboiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristi Guriță having to interfere. Sandu Burca struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Cristi Guriță didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miorica. Cezar Goicea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Doru Cârjă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Iordache Porumboiu took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Cristi Guriță to make any attempt to save it. Miorica's Doru Cârjă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Cosor in the 42nd minute of play. With a little luck, UFC Vulpeni's Cristi Guriță got control of the ball when Sandu Burca tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iordache Porumboiu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Ernest Jucan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iordache Porumboiu in the 54th minute of play forced UFC Vulpeni's goalkeeper Cristi Guriță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Miorica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. With his leg Doru Cârjă managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when UFC Vulpeni's Cezar Goicea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cristi Guriță stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iordache Porumboiu's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Sandu Burca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miorica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandu Burca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iordache Porumboiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristi Guriță read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After 90 played minutes UFC Vulpeni got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Mardarie. Cristi Guriță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandu Burca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iordache Porumboiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristi Guriță having to interfere. There was no doubt that Miorica were the better team. Miorica's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
