If Vali Ipate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ilanlac AFC booed when Cursaru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Floruțiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavian Buta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vali Ipate went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Iordache Bădulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Buta having to interfere. Vali Ipate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Buta having to interfere. Octavian Buta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Ipate in the 22nd minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Cursaru's goal looked a bit too open when Vali Ipate came free, but Octavian Buta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iordache Bădulescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octavian Buta having to make a save. A hard shot by Emanuel Ilinca from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Alin Gavra's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Vali Ipate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Buta having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vali Ipate's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavian Buta was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. 45 minutes into the game, Iordache Bădulescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ilanlac AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cursaru the free kick. In the 47th minute, Eric Apopei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Ilanlac AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vali Ipate was the one to do the kick off. Pavel Blăniță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavian Buta was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pavel Blăniță showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 58 minute of play. If Vali Ipate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Octavian Buta was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Gigel Burileanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gigel Burileanu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Vali Ipate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Octavian Buta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iordache Bădulescu struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Octavian Buta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ilanlac AFC. Vali Ipate's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Octavian Buta firmly grabbed it by the left post. With his leg Octavian Buta managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Ilanlac AFC's Vali Ipate fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Emil Ivan's late challenge caught a Ilanlac AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emil Ivan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th match minute, Cursaru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Ivan to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vali Ipate got free with Octavian Buta in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Octavian Buta was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gigel Burileanu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 79 minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Cursaru's goalkeeper Octavian Buta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vali Ipate. After a defensive mix-up in Cursaru's zone, Pierre-Olivier De Scheper stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Buta came out of the goal and Pierre-Olivier De Scheper tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Octavian Buta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iordache Bădulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Vali Ipate recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Pavel Blăniță got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
