The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mugurel Marioteanu during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th minute, Mugurel Marioteanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. F.C. Universitatea Cluj's Dorin Cubleșan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Universitatea Cluj from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Cosmin Liviu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dorin Cubleșan to make any attempt to save it. Dorin Cubleșan made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Paul Honcioiu sent off a good shot on target. Cosmin Liviu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Vasiiesti UFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 22 minutes into the match, Vasiiesti UFC's Marciano Beltran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dorin Cubleșan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marciano Beltran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorin Cubleșan having to interfere. Cezar Armanca kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Ivan Vişan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dorin Cubleșan, 2-0. In the 39th match minute, F.C. Universitatea Cluj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugurel Marioteanu to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 43 in the game by Marciano Beltran from a close distance when the talented Dorin Cubleșan managed to make a qualified save. F.C. Universitatea Cluj's players were relieved. Marciano Beltran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Dorin Cubleșan made a huge save. Dorin Cubleșan came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Vasiiesti UFC's Ovidiu Urdeş. But to his dismay, Ovidiu Urdeş quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Isac Moscu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mugurel Marioteanu in the 60th minute. Cosmin Liviu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 63 minutes into the match, F.C. Universitatea Cluj's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Beltran came free, but Dorin Cubleșan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Cosmin Liviu made a precise shot to the right of Dorin Cubleșan. F.C. Universitatea Cluj's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 68 minutes into the match, Cosmin Liviu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dorin Cubleșan. F.C. Universitatea Cluj's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cosmin Liviu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. The Vasiiesti UFC fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Vasiiesti UFC's Marciano Beltran looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Marciano Beltran put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dorin Cubleșan. In the 84th minute, Cosmin Liviu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dorin Cubleșan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marciano Beltran in the 86th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marciano Beltran in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorin Cubleșan saved F.C. Universitatea Cluj from getting behind. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Universitatea Cluj's goalkeeper Dorin Cubleșan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Marciano Beltran put it in 10-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dorin Cubleșan. Ovidiu Urdeş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorin Cubleșan having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vasiiesti UFC had played much better football throughout.
