Eugen Vărzaru lost his temper 6 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Tagmanesta AS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Retita:s goal. Victor Vâtcu went to the wrong direction when Alfonz Herczegh was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 10th minute Gelu Zbârlea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Vâtcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Retita booed when Tagmanesta AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosif Tobă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonz Herczegh missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 20 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Victor Vâtcu right hand side. Alfonz Herczegh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 26 in the game by Alfonz Herczegh from a close distance when the talented Victor Vâtcu managed to make a qualified save. Tagmanesta AS's players were relieved. Herbert Nowak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Vâtcu having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Gelu Zbârlea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfonz Herczegh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Victor Vâtcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herbert Nowak got free with Victor Vâtcu in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Victor Vâtcu made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Gelu Zbârlea sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute of the match Retita got a corner. Tagmanesta AS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alfonz Herczegh ran over to the corner to take the kick. Victor Vâtcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonz Herczegh in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonz Herczegh in the 44th minute of play forced Tagmanesta AS's goalkeeper Victor Vâtcu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When Gelu Zbârlea came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Retita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gelu Zbârlea couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Alfonz Herczegh sped through Tagmanesta AS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Victor Vâtcu. In the 59th minute, 严岩勇 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 60 minutes, Cristian Jivulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tagmanesta AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Jivulescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A beautiful save bye Tagmanesta AS's goalie prevented a goal. Cristian Jivulescu struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Călin Gorgan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tagmanesta AS. When the referee ended the match the Retita players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
