Olimpiu Vârjean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aatu Noponen in the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Schineni CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Aatu Noponen came free, but Olimpiu Vârjean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Aatu Noponen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Codruț Ţintea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Sădeanu in the 22nd minute of play. In the 28th minute, Algot Benett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olimpiu Vârjean was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. FC Brasov's Codruț Ţintea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save FC Brasov from getting a goal against them. After the first half FC Brasov were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aatu Noponen to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Irinel Cumpanașu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Olimpiu Vârjean stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Algot Benett's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. In the 80thth minute of the game Aatu Noponen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schineni CSS's Olimpiu Vârjean was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Algot Benett could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Olimpiu Vârjean however easily saved by the left post. 85 minutes into the match, Algot Benett notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Schineni CSS's Olimpiu Vârjean. Olimpiu Vârjean was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Algot Benett's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Olimpiu Vârjean skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Matei Zorlescu kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. FC Brasov's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
