Aron Bârsan ran back to his position shaking his head. Barbalatesti UFC's Mihăiţă Bădulescu pulled a muscle in his back after 9 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ştefan Tolea's late challenge caught a Barbalatesti UFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ştefan Tolea helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, AC MILAN's Ştefan Tolea got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Lucrețiu Cojan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AC MILAN's Leonard Luican didn't even have to move. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petre Platon got free with Leonard Luican in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Maxim Udrescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 34 minutes, Lucian Cocârlă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC MILAN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucian Cocârlă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Barbalatesti UFC booed when AC MILAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Șerban Mârzac didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match, Petre Platon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leonard Luican was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Daniel Gârniceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barbalatesti UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Gârniceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonard Luican breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petre Platon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Barbalatesti UFC's Daniel Gârniceanu got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Petre Platon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Barbalatesti UFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Aron Bârsan hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, AC MILAN's Lucian Cocârlă dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. If Petre Platon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aron Bârsan in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonard Luican saved AC MILAN from getting behind. In the 77th minute Daniel Gârniceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Luican saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AC MILAN booed when Barbalatesti UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Bârsan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, AC MILAN's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Platon came free, but Leonard Luican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Petre Platon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Barbalatesti UFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
