The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Igoiu CS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Petru Mischie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Florin Malcoci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marian Ciolac made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 15thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Florin Malcoci would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Claudiu Brădea kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Florin Malcoci made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Marian Ciolac sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 24 in the game by Andrei Visarion from a close distance when the talented Florin Malcoci managed to make a qualified save. Nittony Lions's players were relieved. Ionică Afloarei kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Marian Ciolac in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Florin Malcoci, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Florin Malcoci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petru Mischie in the 34th minute of the match. With a little luck, Nittony Lions's Florin Malcoci got control of the ball when Marian Ciolac tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudiu Pârcălab got free with Felix Mahonea in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Igoiu CS's Andrei Visarion pulled a muscle in his leg after 59 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 59 minutes into the game, Mădălin Nae was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nittony Lions's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Igoiu CS the free kick. Petru Mischie ran back to his position shaking his head. If Petru Mischie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 77 minutes, Marian Ciolac managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Igoiu CS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marian Ciolac was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Petre Martin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Malcoci having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Dacian Rusu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Igoiu CS's supporters rose to their feet, but Dacian Rusu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florin Malcoci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Petru Mischie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florin Malcoci having to make a save. If Marian Ciolac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Aron Crușeveanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Petru Mischie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Nittony Lions's zone, Marian Ciolac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florin Malcoci came out of the goal and Marian Ciolac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
