Petre Darabonț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Bogdan in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, FC Castelldefels's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Bogdan came free, but Petre Darabonț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nicu Mardarescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 16 minutes into the match, Oltina UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Iurie Șeitan came free, but Toader Şimoc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When FC Castelldefels's Iurie Șeitan, in the 19th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for FC Castelldefels. If Nicu Mardarescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicu Mardarescu scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petre Darabonț, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 29 minutes, Alex Bacanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Castelldefels and the Oltina UFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alex Bacanu kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, FC Castelldefels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Arghiroiu to maneuver through the defense. Cristi Popescu, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 34th minute Dan Bogdan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Darabonț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 41 minutes, Nicu Mardarescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oltina UFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicu Mardarescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dan Bogdan scored 2-0 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petre Darabonț, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Toader Şimoc came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Castelldefels's Iurie Șeitan. But to his dismay, Iurie Șeitan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iurie Șeitan to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Octavian Braia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dan Bogdan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Darabonț having to interfere. Nicu Mardarescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavian Braia charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octavian Braia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Oltina UFC's zone, Gelu Iriza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toader Şimoc came out of the goal and Gelu Iriza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toader Şimoc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iurie Șeitan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iurie Șeitan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Toader Şimoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Bogdan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Darabonț having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Oltina UFC's Dan Bogdan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petre Darabonț narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of FC Castelldefels booed when Oltina UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Traian Boboc didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corneliu Berechet in the 92nd minute of play forced Oltina UFC's goalkeeper Toader Şimoc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicu Mardarescu in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petre Darabonț prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Castelldefels's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
