Fabian Cozorici took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ştefan Cobzeanu. Dumbravioara AS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vicente Leiria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugur Balțoi having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Dumbravioara AS got a freekick which was hit by Manole Costescu. Vicente Leiria hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Dumbravioara AS's zone, Remus Bistreanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ştefan Cobzeanu came out of the goal and Remus Bistreanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Petre Zdrenţu sped through F.C. Darkensoul -MM-'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mugur Balțoi. Călin Gogea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the game, Aron Miniș was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Darkensoul -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dumbravioara AS the free kick. In the 31st match minute, F.C. Darkensoul -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Miniș to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Dumbravioara AS's Calistrat Fenici sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mugur Balțoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute Calistrat Fenici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Balțoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petre Zdrenţu in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mugur Balțoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Viorel Văduva scored 2-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ştefan Cobzeanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remus Bistreanu was the one to do the kick off. Vicente Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petre Zdrenţus short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Mugur Balțoi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Darkensoul -MM-'s zone, Petre Zdrenţu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mugur Balțoi came out of the goal and Petre Zdrenţu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Darkensoul -MM-'s goalkeeper Mugur Balțoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petre Zdrenţu in the 69th minute of play forced F.C. Darkensoul -MM-'s goalkeeper Mugur Balțoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dumbravioara AS made a substitution. Claudiu Ispir replaced Vicente Leiria. After 77 played minutes Claudiu Ispir rounded F.C. Darkensoul -MM-'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. After a rather tough play, Dumbravioara AS's Petre Zdrenţu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After some careless play in the F.C. Darkensoul -MM- defense, Calistrat Fenici kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mugur Balțoi. The F.C. Darkensoul -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mugur Balțoi should have stopped the shot. Claudiu Ispir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugur Balțoi having to interfere. The supporters of F.C. Darkensoul -MM- booed when Dumbravioara AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filippo Inzaghi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filippo Inzaghi kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Dumbravioara AS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
