Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sabin Vrabie started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Valentin Archiudean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gică Cârlan having to interfere. Lucian Pârvuță made an important save on a dangerous shot by Corneliu Lăcătușu in the 12th minute. In the 14th match minute, Stancilova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moise Cunea to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Stancilova's Valentin Archiudean sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gică Cârlan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Leontin Tadici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gică Cârlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Bădoi in the 22nd minute of the match. Sabin Vrabie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Stancilova's Lucian Pârvuță got control of the ball when Corneliu Lăcătușu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Valentin Archiudean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stancilova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Archiudean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gheghie's Gică Cârlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Archiudean in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Stancilova's zone, Sabin Vrabie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucian Pârvuță came out of the goal and Sabin Vrabie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Archiudean was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Stancilova's Radu Bădoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gică Cârlan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Radu Bădoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gică Cârlan. Gheghie's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radu Bădoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 59 played minutes Gheghie got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Todericiu. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Valentin Archiudean managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stancilova's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Archiudean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gică Cârlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sabin Vrabie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucian Pârvuță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Vrabie in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute Corneliu Lăcătușu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucian Pârvuță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vintilă Şimandan hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Stancilova's Radu Bădoi got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the game, Corneliu Lăcătușu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Lucian Pârvuță was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute Sabin Vrabie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucian Pârvuță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sabin Vrabie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucian Pârvuță having to make a save. In the 95th minute, Sabin Vrabie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gheghie had won after a very even match.
