In the 33rdth minute of the game Mihai Urdea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cotenesti FC's Marcel Voinea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcel Voinea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nechifor Băncilă, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihai Urdea in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Voinea saved Cotenesti FC from getting behind. After 39 played minutes Cotenesti FC got a freekick which was hit by Ion Militaru. Marcel Voinea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihai Urdea in the 40th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ştefan Lucaci to make the kick off. Alex Angheluș charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Angheluș the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cotenesti FC booed when Crivineni AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Angheluș didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Ştefan Lucaci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Tony Kielstedt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mihai Urdea came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcel Voinea could save by the left post. In the 61st minute, Cotenesti FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mihai Urdea fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cotenesti FC's Marcel Voinea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nechifor Băncilă in the 64th minute of play. Nechifor Băncilă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Marcel Voinea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Mihai Urdea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcel Voinea. Tony Kielstedt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Alex Angheluș kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. If Ştefan Lucaci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Ion Militaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcel Voinea made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Mihai Urdea sent off a good shot on target. Nechifor Băncilă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcel Voinea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Mihai Urdea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Cotenesti FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
