Viitorul Iasi's Albert Otopeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Arvinte in the 31st minute of play. When Vali Burdea came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Pipera FCM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vali Burdea couldn't finish the play. Irinel Nițoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vali Burdea struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Albert Otopeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pipera FCM. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vali Burdea made a kick off. Vali Burdea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd minute, Vali Burdea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albert Otopeanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to F.C. Viitorul Iasi getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Vintilă Rusu hit a great ball. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Viitorul Iasi's goalkeeper Albert Otopeanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pipera FCM's attentive Vintilă Jianu managed to snatch the ball when Dumitru Macaneață made a throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game. When Vintilă Jianu came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Pipera FCM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vintilă Jianu couldn't finish the play. Vintilă Rusu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Nicu Ispirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vali Burdea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Otopeanu having to interfere. When Irinel Nițoi came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Pipera FCM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Irinel Nițoi couldn't finish the play. If Vali Burdea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Viitorul Iasi's goalkeeper Albert Otopeanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Vali Burdea dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Albert Otopeanu, 0-5. The F.C. Viitorul Iasi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pipera FCM were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
