Cuhea's Leonard Cozac got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cuhea's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonard Cozac was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciprian Maniu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciprian Maniu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Cozac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Călin Lucrețiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Brinceni's zone, Leonard Cozac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciprian Maniu came out of the goal and Leonard Cozac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
After a defensive mix-up in Cuhea's zone, Sandu Homeag stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dacian Șeimeanu came out of the goal and Sandu Homeag tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the match, Cuhea's goal looked a bit too open when Călin Lucrețiu came free, but Dacian Șeimeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 59th minute of the game was made by Petruț Tătaru with Virgil Talianu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Călin Lucrețiu struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Dacian Șeimeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brinceni. Dacian Șeimeanu came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Brinceni's Sandu Homeag. But to his dismay, Sandu Homeag quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The throw-in from Iurie Chirnoagă in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cuhea's Leontin Zafiu. Sandu Homeag sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Brinceni getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Claudiu Ciungu hit a great ball. Dorin Iordache charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorin Iordache the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th minute, Dorin Iordache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Călin Lucrețiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute.
