Răzvan Vaştag showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrei Răchitan, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 8th match minute, Ultramax1000 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Siniştean to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrei Răchitan in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Răzvan Vaştag saved Ultramax1000 from getting behind. 13 minutes into the match, Girdoaia UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Manole Epure came free, but Virgil Popilean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes in the game, Andrei Răchitan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Răzvan Vaştag having to interfere. Andrei Răchitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Răzvan Vaştag having to interfere. David Siniştean charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a little luck, Ultramax1000's Răzvan Vaştag got control of the ball when Marcel Lovinescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcel Lovinescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vintilă Grădinaru made a kick off. Manole Epure received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Virgil Popilean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Girdoaia UFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vintilă Grădinaru 56 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Andrei Răchitan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Girdoaia UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrei Răchitan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Răzvan Vaştag breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute Marcel Lovinescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Răzvan Vaştag saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vintilă Grădinaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgil Popilean having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Andrei Răchitan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ultramax1000's Răzvan Vaştag was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Manole Epure managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ultramax1000's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manole Epure was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ultramax1000's Vintilă Grădinaru got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ultramax1000 booed when Girdoaia UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorel Gheorghiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorel Gheorghiu in the 80th minute of play forced Ultramax1000's goalkeeper Răzvan Vaştag to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Ultramax1000's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Răchitan came free, but Răzvan Vaştag reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgil Popilean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vintilă Grădinaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manole Epure got free with Virgil Popilean in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iurie David hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Răzvan Vaştag stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrei Răchitan's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After 93 minutes of play, Girdoaia UFC's Andrei Răchitan made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Răzvan Vaştag was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Ultramax1000 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ultramax1000 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
