The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Calan got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Tatomir. 7 minutes into the match, Calan's goalkeeper Sabin Gherghescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laurențiu Aaxiniei. The nice shot from Laurențiu Aaxiniei in the 9thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Sabin Gherghescu had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Calan's goalkeeper Sabin Gherghescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Teodor Mușătescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pompiliu Hațegan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Nichifor Vulcan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sabin Gherghescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihail Bălcescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugen Potopea during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 26 minutes into the match, Dacia Chișinău's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Hațegan came free, but Teodor Mușătescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodor Mușătescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nichifor Vulcan in the 29th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pompiliu Hațegan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Dacia Chișinău's Victor Hurezan got a free kick in the 56th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Dacia Chișinău's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Hațegan came free, but Teodor Mușătescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rdth minute of the game Mihail Bălcescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calan's Sabin Gherghescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Mihail Bălcescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dacia Chișinău's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mihail Bălcescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sabin Gherghescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihail Bălcescu in the 87th minute of play. Daniel Tatomir charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Tatomir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Dacia Chișinău booed when Calan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Tatomir didn't get a good kick on the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
