The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iustin Vlaicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandu Dicu in the 4th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Iurie David made a precise shot to the right of Iustin Vlaicu. Satmarel FCM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 17th minute Vali Aluchei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Niculescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ghermani CS's Iulian Niculescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Aluchei in the 19th minute of play. Ivan Kováč's late challenge caught a Ghermani CS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Kováč helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Satmarel FCM's Ivan Kováč got a free kick in the 20th minute. The supporters of Satmarel FCM booed when Ghermani CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Vidican didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iulian Niculescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Aluchei in the 23rd minute of play. Iustin Vlaicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Vidican, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iulian Niculescu came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Satmarel FCM's Maxim Ştercă. But to his dismay, Maxim Ştercă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a little luck, Ghermani CS's Iulian Niculescu got control of the ball when Maxim Ştercă tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ghermani CS's Iurie David got a free kick in the 36th minute. Maxim Ştercă in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Iulian Niculescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 39 played minutes Ghermani CS got a freekick which was hit by Ovidiu Mărculescu. Maxim Ştercă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Iulian Niculescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vali Aluchei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentin Vidican made a kick off. Iulian Niculescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxim Ştercă in the 60th minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ghermani CS! Iulian Niculescu had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Felix Fânaru's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Felix Fânaru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Iulian Niculescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Satmarel FCM's Iustin Vlaicu got control of the ball when Sandu Dicu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Ghermani CS's Sandu Dicu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iustin Vlaicu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Maxim Ştercă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Avram Giurcă charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Avram Giurcă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ghermani CS booed when Satmarel FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avram Giurcă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandu Dicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute Maxim Ştercă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Niculescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicu Godeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 98 minutes into the match, Ghermani CS's goal looked a bit too open when Vali Aluchei came free, but Iulian Niculescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Satmarel FCM walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
