Emil Moțoc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niculae Milcoveanu in the 12th minute of play forced F.C. CEAHLAUL's goalkeeper Bogdan Teodoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionuț Ţurlău kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Cezar Bușcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. F.C. CEAHLAUL's Gavril Mazăre got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciornei CF's Emil Moțoc got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, F.C. CEAHLAUL's goal looked a bit too open when Niculae Milcoveanu came free, but Bogdan Teodoreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Ciornei CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicodim Dumitrescu to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C. CEAHLAUL's Rareș Radovan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ovidiu Ştiopul. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. The supporters of Ciornei CF booed when F.C. CEAHLAUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Papaiani didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Emil Moțoc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciornei CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emil Moțoc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for F.C. CEAHLAUL! In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Ciornei CF. Marin Covaliu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bogdan Teodoreanu. 1-1.

The wind increased when Niculae Milcoveanu made the kick off in the second half. Bogdan Teodoreanu made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Emil Moțoc sent off a good shot on target. Bogdan Teodoreanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emil Moțoc went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Ovidiu Ştiopul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leontin Cimpoieru in the 64th minute of play. If Emil Moțoc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rareș Radovan in the 67th minute of play forced Ciornei CF's goalkeeper Ovidiu Ştiopul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rareș Radovan struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Ovidiu Ştiopul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. CEAHLAUL. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emil Moțoc during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Niculae Milcoveanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bogdan Teodoreanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niculae Milcoveanu ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niculae Milcoveanu in the 87th minute of play forced F.C. CEAHLAUL's goalkeeper Bogdan Teodoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Emil Moțoc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. Bogdan Teodoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niculae Milcoveanu in the 94th minute of play. Gavril Mazăre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidiu Ştiopul having to interfere.
