The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Nechifor Radu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denis Constantiniu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to F.C. CEAHLAUL getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Denis Constantiniu hit a great ball. Martin Pantea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bogdan Teodoreanu was a little too slow when Nechifor Radu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. When Ionel Băcioiu fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored deCode F.C.'s protests and gave Ionel Băcioiu a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in deCode F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! In the 25th minute there was a penalty for F.C. CEAHLAUL. Teodor Isaicu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Narcis Dancu. 1-1. 35 minutes into the match, F.C. CEAHLAUL's goalkeeper Bogdan Teodoreanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul Stârcea. Gavril Mazăre kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Stârcea got free with Bogdan Teodoreanu in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. F.C. CEAHLAUL's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Paul Stârcea 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nechifor Radu was the one to do the kick off. Bogdan Teodoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calistrat Dridu in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Paul Stârcea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Bogdan Teodoreanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Nechifor Radu came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the deCode F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nechifor Radu couldn't finish the play. Calistrat Dridu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Teodoreanu having to interfere. CEAHLAUL's Bogdan Teodoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nechifor Radu in the 87th minute of play. Bogdan Teodoreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Stârcea, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Costică Purje received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Bogdan Teodoreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristinel Şania kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match.
