Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) UTA Arad's Maxim Bălace started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. UTA Arad's attack was well implemented in the 6th minute, but when Maxim Bălace was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. 8 minutes into the game, Alex Papaiani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. CEAHLAUL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UTA Arad the free kick. The supporters of UTA Arad booed when F.C. CEAHLAUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Papaiani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bogdan Teodoreanu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maxim Bălace showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. In the 16th minute, Marius Mitică ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihnea Toader was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Aristide Ciuhandu fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UTA Arad's protests and gave Aristide Ciuhandu a yellow card for diving instead. Aristide Ciuhandu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, UTA Arad's goal looked a bit too open when Gavril Mazăre came free, but Mihnea Toader reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Maxim Bălace shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Teodoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Maxim Bălace came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the UTA Arad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxim Bălace couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute, Alin Apetroaiei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Alin Apetroaiei took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Bogdan Teodoreanu to make any attempt to save it. If Gavril Mazăre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in UTA Arad's zone, Rareș Radovan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihnea Toader came out of the goal and Rareș Radovan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute of the match, Maxim Bălace tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bogdan Teodoreanu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rareș Radovan made a kick off. Mihnea Toader made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gavril Mazăre in the 57th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mihnea Toader was a little too slow when Rareș Radovan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 2-3. Alin Apetroaiei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leontin Cimpoieru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Toader having to interfere. Gavril Mazăre might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mihnea Toader. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gavril Mazăre ran back to his position shaking his head. The UTA Arad supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching F.C. CEAHLAUL's performance. The match ended with a win for F.C. CEAHLAUL.
