Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Adrian Niculiță kicked off to start the match. After 8th play minutes Emil Hosu shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Filip Ciuvică and just under the crossbar into goal. Filip Ciuvică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Hosu in the 12th minute of play. Filip Ciuvică didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emil Hosu went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 22nd minute, Adrian Niculiță got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emil Hosu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Ciuvică having to interfere. With a little luck, Iasi AFC's Kazimierz Skaradoski got control of the ball when Paul Muja tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mihail Tutuianu charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mihail Tutuianu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mihail Tutuianu kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Adrian Niculiță left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Iasi AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 38thth minute of the game Adrian Niculiță who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc.Targu-Mures's Filip Ciuvică was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fc.Targu-Mures's zone, Emil Hosu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filip Ciuvică came out of the goal and Emil Hosu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Niculiță's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filip Ciuvică read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After the first half Iasi AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nechifor Pitiș to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Fc.Targu-Mures booed when Iasi AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remus Pitard didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Nechifor Pitiș's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kazimierz Skaradoski was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. 64 minutes into the match, Paul Muja had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kazimierz Skaradoski. Iasi AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paul Muja was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Muja in the 83rd minute of play forced Iasi AFC's goalkeeper Kazimierz Skaradoski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Emil Hosu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Niculiță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Filip Ciuvică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filip Ciuvică took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Niculiță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Fc.Targu-Mures's Filip Ciuvică got control of the ball when Emil Hosu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Fc.Targu-Mures's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Niculiță came free, but Filip Ciuvică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Iasi AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fc.Targu-Mures.
