The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ernest Pamfil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vorta UFC's goalkeeper Leontin Zdrelea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 15 played minutes Lucky Strike got a freekick which was hit by Damian Ţipirig. Ernest Pamfil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Leontin Zdrelea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Lucky Strike's Damian Ţipirig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leontin Zdrelea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 32nd minute Ernest Pamfil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leontin Zdrelea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cazimir Balint made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Cristi Mărculescu sent off a good shot on target. Cristi Mărculescu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 36th minute. Vorta UFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Damian Ţipirig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leontin Zdrelea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusebiu Baba during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Vorta UFC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Eusebiu Baba hit a great ball. Bogdan Barbăroșie hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Nistor Chiose was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 75th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Damian Ţipirig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernest Pamfil got free with Leontin Zdrelea in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
