Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Irinel Chirea started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Chizeni's Nistor Sârban got control of the ball when Octav Hosu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nistor Sârban made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Octav Hosu sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 6 minutes, Octav Hosu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Cocs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octav Hosu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The long shot by Emil Vintilescu in the 18th minute really tested Nistor Sârban's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gigel Honciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Nistor Sârban managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when FC Cocs's Octav Hosu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 24 minutes into the game, Radu Şoiman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chizeni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Cocs the free kick. A collision led to Chizeni getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Radu Şoiman hit a great ball. If Octav Hosu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chizeni's Gigel Honciu got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marian Deliman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigel Honciu in the 31st minute of the match. Nistor Sârban was a little too slow when Irinel Chirea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 1-0. With a little luck, Chizeni's Nistor Sârban got control of the ball when Octav Hosu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nistor Sârban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irinel Chirea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Irinel Chirea fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Octav Hosu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With an all-out effort, FC Cocs's Nistor Sârban threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Irinel Chirea, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gigel Honciu was the one to do the kick off. Octav Hosu struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Nistor Sârban didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Cocs. Chizeni's Ion Comșa pulled a muscle in his back after 65 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 65 minutes, Romeo Cârlan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Cocs and the Chizeni players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes FC Cocs got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Cârlan. With a little luck, FC Cocs's Marian Deliman got control of the ball when Manole Nedelciu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chizeni's Nistor Sârban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Hosu in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute, one of Chizeni:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chizeni. Nistor Sârban went to the wrong direction when Sabin Culiță was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 82nd minute, Irinel Chirea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Cocs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Nistor Sârban stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Irinel Chirea's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Octav Hosu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Nistor Sârban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chizeni's Nistor Sârban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Hosu in the 92nd minute of play. FC Cocs's supporters rose to their feet, but Irinel Chirea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nistor Sârban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Cocs walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
